About us
Windsor Chinese Alliance Church (WCAC) is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing congregation affiliated with the rich spiritual heritage of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada (C&MA). Situated in the culturally diverse city of Windsor, Ontario, our church primarily serves community of three languages – Cantonese, Mandarin and English, bringing together believers from a variety of Chinese cultural backgrounds and their children who are growing up in Canada.
Our vision is to be a spiritually vibrant, multi-generational, and gospel-centered church that faithfully proclaims Jesus Christ to make Him known to all people. Grounded in the authority of Scripture, we wholeheartedly embrace the Statement of Faith and mission of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada as we seek to glorify God and participate in His work locally and globally.
We are praying for God’s guidance to seek a full-time permanent Youth Pastor who is called to disciple the next generation and serve as a key member of our pastoral team, providing leadership and oversight for our Youth Ministries.
The Opportunity
As a full-time with benefits salaried member of the church’s pastoral leadership team, the Youth Pastor will report directly to the Board of Elder and work collaboratively with other pastoral staffs and ministry leaders.
The Youth Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and overall oversight for the church’s Youth Ministries (Grades 5–12). This role is responsible for fostering spiritual growth, discipleship, community engagement, and leadership development among youth and their families.
The primary objective of this position is to develop and sustain a Christ-centered, disciple-making ministry that effectively addresses the spiritual, relational, social, and emotional needs of youth both within the church and the broader community. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for articulating a clear ministry vision and implementing a strategic plan that aligns with the church’s overall mission, values, and ministry objectives. Through the recruitment, training, and empowerment of volunteer leaders, the Youth Pastor will cultivate a healthy, sustainable, and lay-led ministry that equips the next generation to follow Christ and serve His Kingdom.
The Leader we seek will be responsible for:
Sharing Sunday morning ministry with our current English pastor:
Preaching once per month for English Sunday morning sermon.
Organizing Sunday school curriculum for Grade 5-6, Junior High (Grade 7-8) and High School (Grade 9-12).
Overseeing High school, Junior High and other youth fellowships.
Keeping up to date police checks and C&MA Plan to Protect® training (or equivalent) for volunteers.
Attending regular staff meetings.
Attending regular elder board meetings.
Sharing weekly office hours on church campus with other pastors.
We are looking for a Leader with the following qualifications:
A genuine calling to pastoral ministry with a passion for serving English-speaking youth.
Accredited or willing to pursue accreditation with C&MA.
A passion for evangelism
Proven experience leading Christian Youth Ministries which include preaching, discipleship and worship.
Able to relate and address the needs of the youth
Full agreement with C&MA statement of faith.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative pastoral and leadership team.
A seminary degree from an accredited institution.
Strong public speaking, teaching, and interpersonal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be an asset.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Legally able to work in Canada.
