Overview
Youth Director (Part-Time) | Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church | St. Albert, AB
We’re looking for someone who loves Jesus and loves teenagers, in that order, with the energy and heart to lead a thriving youth ministry.
Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church is hiring a part-time Youth Director (20 hours/week) to plan and lead weekly youth events, work with an amazing youth ministry leadership team, and build a ministry culture where young people genuinely encounter Christ. You’ll have real ownership over the direction of the youth ministry, working alongside our Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministry and a team of dedicated volunteer leaders who are invested in your growth too.
We’re looking for someone with a solid theological foundation, relational warmth, and the ability to connect with students and parents alike. You don’t need a lengthy resume. You need a genuine calling and a willingness to learn.
If you’re passionate about the next generation and want to grow in ministry while investing in a community that takes faith and family seriously, we’d love to hear from you.

About Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church
Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church (SVBC) is a growing, intergenerational congregation in St. Albert, Alberta, just outside Edmonton. We're a diverse community of close to 300 weekly attenders, spanning Sunday morning services, an online presence, a Deaf congregation, and a developing intercultural afternoon worship service.
Our weekly gatherings blend contemporary worship and traditional hymns, with a strong focus on Scripture, prayer, and community life. Throughout the week, our building is home to AA, youth and kids' clubs, and various Bible studies. We place a high value on youth and children's ministry and take both local and international mission seriously.
We've been doing this for 50 years, and we're still growing by God's grace.
