Job Title: Church worker
Reports To: Children’s Ministry Director
Term: June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026 | 30 hours per week @ $17/hour

Core Roles and Responsibilities: The Church Ministry Summer Intern will work closely with the Children’s Ministry Director and Youth Pastor in the planning, implementation, and administration of all facets of the Children’s and Family Ministry at South Gate Alliance throughout the summer months. Strategic areas of the Summer Ministry include Vacation Bible Camp, Sunday Kids Church, Youth Camp, Youth Sunday School and Preteen Transition events.
• Organize and supervise Youth Camp and Children Summer Day Camps
• Assist in the administrative work of Children Summer Day Camp
• Assist in keeping the tidiness of Children’s facilities
• Give support and insight to transitional ministry from Children to Youth Ministry
• Build relationships as a mentor with children
• Organize and support Sunday programs for children and youth
• Support and assist pastoral work accordingly
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess experience in children and youth activities and programming or a working knowledge of office and business procedures. They must be able to work effectively with diverse staff and volunteers in a variety of settings. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in office computer applications and other office automation technologies.
Requirements:
• Candidate must be between 18 and 30 (before start date)
• Has theological training or church ministry experience particularly working with children and youth. Equivalent experience may also be considered
• A person who is a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ and growing in their spiritual journey with God
• Has a strong sense of calling to ministry, particularly for the next generation
• Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset Main Responsibilities Other opportunities dependent of skill and experience
