Worship Pastor

Overview

We are prayerfully seeking a Worship Pastor, who would serve on our team part-time.  The person we’re seeking has a love for Jesus, a heart for worship and a desire to see people encounter God’s presence through our gatherings.

The Worship Pastor will further develop a healthy Worship Ministry culture by leading worship regularly at our worship services, shepherding and investing in the worship team members, and providing organization leadership to this ministry.

Reports To: Lead Pastor
Position Type: Part-time, (15 hours/week @ $29.70 per hour)

Responsibilities:
●      Further develop our worship ministry culture, seeking the inspiration and leading of the Holy Spirit in the selection and arrangement of worship material to resonate with the worship culture of the church.
●      Lead worship at least twice a month at our worship services.
●      Ensure growth in the team’s character, commitment to our community, and growing competency in their area of serving.
●      Invest in the spiritual formation of the worship team, developing a culture worshippers, drawing the congregation into worship such that they are led to a place of praise and adoration for Jesus
●      Recruit, empower, develop and mentor musicians and singers – creating a ‘one team’ approach.
●      Oversee rehearsals and scheduling, so that teams are in place for every weekend service
●      Oversee and lead the Sunday Tech Teams.
●      General pastoral duties within our team & community

SBF Staff Requirements
●      Understand, support and comply with SBF’s Vision, Mission, Values, Statement of Faith.
●      Actively participate in staff meetings, retreats, organizational development days, all-team days, membership meetings and special events designated by Lead Pastor as required.
●      Adhere to a philosophy of ministry that is in harmony with that of SBF.

What You Bring:
●      A mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ.
●      A clear sense of calling and passion for worship ministry and love of connecting with God through musical worship.
●      Music degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
●      Commitment to equip others in their gifting.
●      Relevant experience & proficiency in leading worship and music teams
●      Strong competencies in leadership, communication, collaboration & shepherding
●      Proven experience & a high commitment to a volunteer-based worship ministry
●      If married, demonstrates a strong and healthy marriage, with spousal commitment to their calling into ministry and spousal involvement in the life of SBF as a participating member.
●      Competency in MS Office, Google Suite, Planning Center, Song Select, CCLI
