Overview
We are looking for a capable pastor who loves the next generation and can help carry the wider leadership of Fort City Church. This role will focus on youth and young adults while also contributing regularly to Sunday preaching, leadership development, staff culture, and the overall mission of the church.
About Fort City Church
Fort City Church is in Fort McMurray, Alberta. It’s full of real people learning to follow Jesus in a real city. We are not fancy, and we are not trying to be. We are warm, relational, down-to-earth, and serious about creating space for people to encounter Jesus.
Our church has always had a heart for people who are curious, skeptical, wounded, new to faith, or finding their way back. On a Sunday morning, you’ll find longtime Christians, brand-new believers, young families, tradespeople, oil sands workers, teenagers, newcomers to Canada, people asking big questions, and people who are simply trying to take their next step with God.
We believe the church is at its best when it is good news to its neighbours. Real faith for real life. That means we care about Sunday mornings, but we also care about Fort McMurray. We want to be the kind of church that serves this city, loves people well, tells the truth about Jesus, and helps ordinary people practice His way in everyday life.
At Fort City, there is fresh vision forming, trust being strengthened, leaders being developed, and a growing desire to invest deeply in the next generation. We are praying for someone who can come help us build something healthy, faithful, and full of life.
