Children’s Ministry Director 

We are seeking a Children’s Ministry Director who is Christ-centered, spiritually mature, and passionate to lead in a multi-culture environment and grow our children’s ministry.

The Emmanuel Alliance Church of Ottawa (EACO) is in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.   EACO is a cross-cultural, cross-generational, loving family of Christ followers. Our growing ministries are in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Our vision is “To be a vibrant church in the city of Ottawa in transforming people of different cultures to become devoted followers of Christ.”

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and spiritual leadership for the children’s ministry.
  • Oversee Sunday School, children’s programs, and special activities. Develop age-appropriate, Bible-centered discipleship and teaching.
  • Partner with parents in the spiritual development of their children.
  • Promote a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Recruit, train, equip, and encourage teachers and volunteers.
  • Work closely with church leadership and other ministry teams.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Has a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Has a strong love for children and a passion for discipling the next generation.
  • Demonstrates biblical knowledge and spiritual maturity, theological training is an asset.
  • Has experience in children’s ministry, teaching, or church leadership.
  • Is an effective communicator, team builder, and servant leader.
  • Is dependable, humble, collaborative, and able to work well with parents, teachers, volunteers, and church leadership.
  • A degree from a recognized seminary, Bible college, or relevant ministry training program is an asset.
  • Speaking Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset.
