Summer Camps & Events Internship (Summer Position)

Location: remote position, which will include a minimum of two weeks onsite at Deer Valley Meadows during the events (accommodation provided).

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Term: May – August 2026 Duration: Maximum 12 weeks, up to 37.5 hours/week.  This position is created specifically for applicants who meet the 2026 Canada Summer Jobs eligibility.  We are looking for the candidate to be between 18 – 30 years of age and must be able to provide their own computer and reliable internet access.

What You’ll Do The Summer Camps and Events Internship will bring a can-do attitude with a desire to provide positive customer service.  Event preparations and coordination, guest relations, working with various database programs, websites and applications to streamline events and camps. Processing payments and deposits.  Serving and assisting the camp attendees requires an attitude of leadership and adaptability while ensuring positive interactions.  The Summer Camps and Events Internship will support and report to the Chief Operating Officer.  Working in a collaborative environment, the Intern will offer camp programming to children and youth, process volunteer applications, follow up with references and assist in all event preparations.  Willingness to take direction and follow a system while having intermediate computer skills are required.  Problem-solving skills will be modelled and developed in this role, while taking initiative and direction will both be required.  Numeracy and digital skills will be developed while working both independently and collaboratively.

Successful Candidates will be required to submit a Criminal Record Check and complete Plan to Protect certification. The wage will be based on experience and competencies. The range is $17-20/hour.
