About the Worship Pastor
The Worship Pastor  is tasked with moving forward the mission of BVCC by equipping members to find and follow Jesus through the provision of a high-quality worship experience. This includes oversight of vocalists, musicians, drama and stage design. Success in this role will be evidenced by:

High-quality, professional, and engaging weekly worship experiences
Expanded participation of volunteers and team members in worship, drama, and stage design
Creating a community of Belonging within team members through formal and informal opportunities to connect with one another

The Worship Pastor’s responsibilities include:
Worship Services
Oversight and coordination of all worship service music, drama, and stage design.
Lead Sunday morning service worship during services.
Equip, mentor, and support other worship leaders to lead Sunday morning services when needed.
Provide visionary leadership for the culture and practices of BVCC’s worship and creative arts ministries.
Oversee and equip special music and drama teams for special events (especially Easter & Christmas Eve).
Provide one non-Sunday morning worship/music event per month at BVCC.
Develop and provide music ministry opportunities for youth and young adults.
Work collaboratively with the Technical Director to provide excellence in our worship services and special events requiring music.
Spiritual Growth & Personal Development
Communicate opportunities for team members to receive pastoral care and spiritual growth.
Recruit, equip, and mentor volunteers for the worship and creative arts team.
Participate in local or online worship ministry networking groups and professional development.
Organize opportunities for team members’ growth and development as a musician or vocalist.
Administration
Develop and oversee the worship (non-technical) budget.
Scheduling of worship and creative arts volunteers (includes musicians, vocalists, drama, and set design).
Overseeing and coordinating sanctuary / stage set design and decorations.
Oversight of BVCC instruments and musical equipment and accessories (including inventory, maintenance).
