Overview

The AIA Youth Initiatives Director of Program Curriculum and Training shapes the core experience for every participant, coach and volunteer. By overseeing the evolution of the More Than a Game (spiritual) and sport-specific (physical) curricula, you will ensure a consistent, transformative journey nationwide. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between athletic excellence and spiritual growth – helping others know Jesus and thrive in faith, life and sport.

This role would also sit on the AIA Youth Initiatives Leadership Team, taking on the shared responsibility for leading the division in its fulfillment of the mission and vision of AIA.

  • Position Type: Full Time or Part-Time (25 – 40 hours/week)

Primary Objectives:

  1. Oversee the development of a portfolio of More Than a Game Curriculum (MTAG) for Youth Initiative programs
  2. Ensure Sport Programming reflects current national standards of physical development
  3. Ensure implementation of MTAG and Sport Programming nationally

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • You have a deep and growing relationship with Jesus and desire to continue to grow as a leader
  • You would be committed to Athletes in Actions’ leadership methods and ministry models
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of ways (written, spoken, virtually)
  • You have administrative skills
  • You have a working knowledge of Google’s G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Sites)
  • You have the ability to train others in both simple and complex ideas.
  • You have an understanding of and passion for the athletic world and the integration of faith and sport
  • You have good time management, an ability to be flexible and willingness to take initiative

*This position requires Ministry Partner Development where the successful candidate will be required to build a team which provides financial and prayer support for salary and ministry expenses including benefits coverage.
