3 Months Tutoring and Substitute teacher Internship Program

Overview

This program is designed for individuals who would like practicum experience in home tutoring and substituting while traveling and learning a new culture. This internship allows you to experience actual ESL and subject teaching without making a long term commitment.

Internship teaching hours: 20 hours a week, this is combination of 1 to 1 home tutoring and classroom cover/substitute teaching (For classroom substitute teaching, the working hours is from 8am to 4:30 pm in a Kindergarten, Primary, Middle or High School which will be equivalent to 4 teaching hours (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon).

Working days: 5 days a week, 2 days off on weekdays.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Native level English fluency

-No previous teaching experience necessary;

-In good health condition –duly filled up health checklist (checklist will be provided by Shanghai Meiji)

-Police certificate/Non-criminal record certificate

-TEFL 120 hours or TESOL certificate

-Friendly and adventurous!

-Passionate about teaching young learners.

-Patient and hardworking.

ARRIVALSUPPORT:
-Airport Pick-Up.

-Hotel accommodation for the first 3 days

-New Chinese SIM Card assistance.

-Escorted to your accommodation.

TRAININGANDPLACEMENT:
-Orientation and on-board training from our Shanghai team

-Attend training with our professional staff trainer in preparation for interviews and demos, which most schools will require.

-Provide continuous training and teaching tips throughout the internship program.
