Oak Park Church of Christ is seeking an independent, organized, and resourceful Office Administrator to join our ministry team. The Office Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the church, supporting staff and volunteers, and helping make our church a welcoming and well-structured environment for all who walk through our doors.

About Oak Park Church of Christ

Key Responsibilities
·       Oversee and support day-to-day operations of the church office and facility

·       Greet and assist members and visitors with warmth and professionalism

·       Provide administrative support to the Senior Pastor and ministry staff

·       Coordinate the church calendar, events, rentals, and room bookings

·       Manage office communications including phone, email, mail, and reception

·       Oversee office supplies, record keeping, and database management (Breeze Church Management software)

·       Maintain vendor relations and liaise with tradespeople and contractors in connection with the Facility Manager

·       Support financial administration including invoices, accounts payable/receivable, and bookkeeping assistance

·       Assist with grant research, writing, and reporting

·       Provide administrative support for Safe Church Policy, membership records, and special services (e.g., baptisms, weddings)

·       Serve as a key member of the Communication Team, helping with website updates and AGM communications

·       Coordinate recurring and special church events, including the Good Food Box program

·       Maintain vendor accounts such as snow removal, alarm monitoring company, etc.

·       Set-up and clean-up from various meetings

·       Other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor

Qualifications
·       Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

·       Proficiency with computers and office equipment; experience with Breeze Church Management is an asset

·       Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure

·       High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information

·       Demonstrated Christian character and servant leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; 1 Peter 5:1–4)

·       Alignment with Oak Park’s Values and Staff Covenant

·       Strong initiative, reliability, and integrity

Employment Details
Hours: 25 hours per week (in-person required) from Monday-Thursday
Contract: 6-month temporary position with potential for renewal
Compensation & Benefits:
– Health & dental benefits (per current policy)
– Retirement contributions: 4% + up to 1% match
– Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
– 3 weeks of vacation (pro-rated to hours worked)
Professional development plan to be created in partnership with the Senior Pastor
