About Us

We are a new Christian daycare school located in the Killarney–Shaganappi area of SW Calgary, close to Ambrose University. We are seeking a part-time Volunteer Praise Leader to lead weekly praise and worship time with our young learners. This is an excellent opportunity for students needing practicum hours, especially those studying worship arts, children & family ministry, early childhood education, or related programs.

 

Position Overview

The Volunteer Praise Leader will lead a short, engaging praise and worship session once a week for 10–15 minutes with children ages 3 to 5 in daycare and ages 5 to 8 in before & after school programs. The role includes leading singing, worship dance, simple motions, and prayer in a joyful and age-appropriate way.

 

Qualifications

·      Experience working with young children

·      Experience participating in or leading praise/worship with small children

·      Comfortable with singing, worship dance, and using simple actions

·      Ability to prepare praise music and plan worship time

·      Able to engage children in a warm, encouraging, and faith-centered way

·      Able to communicate and coordinate praise/worship plans with the school team
