🎻 Violin Teacher Northwest Calgary- Part-Time

Are you a skilled violinist with formal training who enjoys working one-on-one with students?

Imagine Music Inc. is looking for a violin teacher to join our team teaching students in Northwest Calgary. Lessons may take place in students’ homes or in your own home studio.

Since 1994, Imagine Music has been providing high-quality music education to families in Calgary. Our goal is to create a positive musical experience where students develop confidence, skill, and a lifelong love of music.

We are looking for teachers who share our passion for music education, creativity, and building encouraging relationships with students and families.

This opportunity is ideal for a university graduate, experienced teacher, or parent with a music background looking for flexible part-time work.

Key Characteristics
The ideal candidate is:

• Friendly, patient, and enjoys working with children and adults
• Reliable and organized with strong self-management skills
• Creative and flexible in their teaching approach
• Comfortable communicating with families and students
• Proficient with email and basic computer programs (Excel an asset)

Applicants should also have:

• A reliable vehicle for travel to student homes or their own home studio
• A positive, outgoing personality
• A willingness to learn and grow as part of a supportive teaching team

Job Requirements
• Ability to complete a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (provided by Imagine Music Inc.)
• Willingness to sign a minimum one-year contract
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with students and families
• Follow policies and procedures established by Imagine Music Inc.

Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in music or equivalent teaching/performance experience
• Previous teaching experience is an asset but not required
• Involvement in the music community (performance, volunteering, gigs) is considered an asset
