Department Overview
The IT Department plays a critical role in supporting our mission by ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. This internship program is designed to provide individuals interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology with meaningful, hands-on experience. The intern will gain exposure to real-world IT operations, contribute to ongoing projects, and develop both technical and professional skills in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues across Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Support end-users by responding to help desk tickets and providing technical guidance and assistance.
- Participate in system maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and documentation.
- Contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades, automation scripts, and network improvements.
- Document processes and create user guides for common IT tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on cross-functional initiatives.
About You:
- Currently pursuing ((ideally 3rd or 4th year student) or have recently completed a post-secondary degree, preferably in Computing, Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience or training in user support, scripting, or coding is an asset.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and a high standard of execution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to connect well with staff
- Enthusiastic about learning and applying new technologies with a curious, proactive, and resourceful mindset in identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills, particularly in technical areas such as programming

Other Requirements
This position is contingent on Federal Government Grant funding by the Canada Summer Jobs program. Successful candidates must meet the criteria set forth by the grant program below.
To be eligible, youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment (international students are not eligible participants); and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations; and,
- this role requires an individual who is able to sign and adhere to our Christian Foundations and Standards
