Overview
FAC Calgary is a multi-campus, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-generational church. The Grade School Pastor will join our Children’s Ministry team and give leadership to approx. 140 grade school students and 40 volunteers each weekend at our Deerfoot Campus. Role specifics include:
- Recruit, develop, train and resource a network of volunteers
- Ensure curriculum has been reviewed and prepared each week
- Ensure planning and preparation for Grade School Worship service happens each week
- Weekend supervision of grade school program, establishing relationships with families
- Develop personal relationships with volunteers and provide feedback and encouragement
- Help plan and execute events and DiscoveryCamps with other Children’s Ministry staff.
- Provide pastoral care for grade school families
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, children’s ministry or an education degree preferred
- Min. 3-5 years experience volunteering and discipling children, developing volunteer leaders and teams.
- High proficiency in Microsoft programs, Planning Centre, ProPresenter and basic video editing
- Be a Canadian citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be licensed with the Alliance Canada or willing to complete the licensing process within the first year of employment
