Community Support Worker

We are currently seeking a young adult (preferably an Ambrose University student) who is wanting to connect with a student to engage in Ambrose events, being a workout partner, shooting hoops, chatting about video games and being active in the community.

Responsibilities:

§  Applicant would be confident in connecting with individual and supporting him to meet other students.

§  Be able to support the individual to participate fully in extra-curricular activities and events

§  Applicant must be outgoing and friendly

§  Must value an individual’s right to be a fully contributing member of the community

Details:

·      Approximately 9-12 hours/week

·      Weekday evenings, schedule to be mutually agreed upon/designed

·      Wages $ 25.00/hour

·      Location: Ambrose University or in nearby community (ie: Westside Rec, Aspen Heights)

Qualifications:

·      Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred, but not mandatory

·      Must have Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid

·      If driving will be required, proof of insurance, drivers abstract and reliable vehicle
