Support Worker

Overview

Looking for a mature christian male for 1:1 support/care for a 47 year old male with a brain injury. Must be available Saturdays, have a valid drivers license, and have their own vehicle.

Duties include taking client for rides and outings like bowling, walks, movies, lunch, minor hockey games, zoo, ect. All costs for the outings will be covered and an hourly wage paid in cash. We are looking for 6-8 hours where the client is away from the home and having ‘entertainment’, with supervision as his brain injury has affected his ability to safely be alone.

The successful applicant will be mature both in attitude and in the Christian faith, compassionate yet firm, and keeping clear boundaries. constant supervision will be required at all times including washroom visits.  Applicant should have experience with people living with a disability or brain injury.

The goal of care is to have consistent care available Saturdays throughout the year, working around the family schedule as well as the applicant’s.
