We currently worship across three sites, with a fourth site preparing to launch in fall 2026. Central is seeking a Pastor or Coordinator of Kids Ministry for our current Connors Hill site.

Job Vision. To shepherd kids at Connors Hill and develop leaders who will do the same. To be actively growing in love for God, other believers and unbelievers, and have the gifting and passion to lead others with humility and servant-hearted confidence.

Partner with Parents. Hold onto a broader vision than solely pastoring kids. Coming alongside parents to disciple their kids to know and love Jesus more.

Develop Leaders and Volunteers. Recruit, mature, and multiply leaders who are growing in their love for Jesus and passionate about inviting kids to do the same. Release others to take on leadership roles, equipping them to raise up future leaders and pass on the ministry.

Help kids know each other and encourage them to serve. Create opportunities for the next person to join in, whether it’s discovering Jesus for the first time or building relationships with peers and leaders.

Collaborate in Multisite Initiatives. Work alongside other kids ministry staff across sites. Be a reliable and supportive team member, embodying the “better together” mentality. Champion the strengths of the multisite model, celebrating the unity of one church in multiple locations.

About Central Baptist Church

The most important stuff...

We believe Jesus is the only way and the Bible is completely true. We think following Jesus TOGETHER is the best way to do it. Relationships are huge, and we want to build up those who already know Jesus and invite those who don’t to the full life found in Him.

Some practicals you may want to know...

We are a multisite church in the Edmonton metro area (about 1.5m population). We have people deeply involved from all generations. We currently average about 1,000 in weekly attendance across our three sites, with additional participation online. Each worship gathering typically ranges from 150–250 people, allowing us to do some larger things together as one church while maintaining a relational, pastoral, and community-centred culture at each site.

Our culture and feel...

We choose relational and casual over formal and corporate. We think being ready to confess and eager to forgive is a really big deal. We feel like we should know people we are worshipping with, and so we work hard to set up ministries and structures that will help this happen. We’re not a huge church, but you can blend in for a while. Eventually, though, we’re going to ask you your name, and we think that’s a good thing.
