Cabin Leader – Seasonal Summer Camp Position
📍 Location: Camp Harmattan, Alberta
💰 Compensation: $18/hour + Room & Board
📅 Contract Dates: July or July & August (Part-time training in June)
🎓 Scholarship Opportunity: Up to $1000 for eligible staff attending Ambrose University

About Camp Harmattan
At Camp Harmattan, we believe in creating a Christian camping and retreat environment where people experience community, restoration, and growth. Our campers build friendships, develop leadership skills, and grow spiritually in a fun, outdoor setting.

About the Role
We are looking for Cabin Leaders who are passionate about working with children and youth (Grades 1-12) in a faith-based, adventure-filled camp setting. This role is ideal for individuals who love mentoring, leading activities, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment for campers.

Key Responsibilities
✅ Camper Supervision: Lead a cabin of campers, ensuring a fun, positive, and safe experience.
✅ Activity Leadership: Plan and facilitate games, outdoor adventures, and creative programs.
✅ Spiritual Guidance: Lead faith-based discussions and cabin devotions.
✅ Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff to create a memorable camp experience.
✅ General Camp Support: Assist in food services, site maintenance, and hospitality as needed.

What We’re Looking For
✔ A committed Christian who aligns with the Church of the Nazarene’s beliefs.
✔ 18+ years old (or high school graduate by summer 2025).
✔ Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
✔ Previous experience working with children or youth (camp, ministry, or similar).
✔ First Aid & CPR certification (an asset but not required).
✔ Ability to work outdoors, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and handle conflict with grace.
✔ Must pass a criminal and vulnerable sector background check.
