About Us

Calgary Voices Collective is the modern, social, creative evolution of choir culture. Not your grandma’s choir — we offer instructor-led group singing sessions for Calgarians who want to experience the magic of collective singing, community, and good energy. No auditions, no solos, no judgment.

We’re launching in March and looking for a charismatic, confident, and musically skilled Group Singing Instructor to lead our sessions.

Role Overview

We’re looking for someone who can create an uplifting, welcoming, and fun environment for participants of all singing levels. Your role is to guide the group through learning one song per session, teach harmonies in an accessible way, and bring positive energy to the room.

This is a flexible, contract-based position with sessions scheduled as demand grows. This role is ideal for:

● Vocal coaches

● Music students

● Choir leaders

● Performing arts majors

● Musicians who love people and group energy

Responsibilities

● Lead 75 minute group singing sessions

● Teach the melody and simple harmonies for the featured song ● Guide vocal warm-ups & simple exercises

● Maintain a supportive, energizing group atmosphere

● Adapt teaching for mixed skill levels

● Collaborate with the founder on song choices, session structure, and creative direction

Requirements

● Strong vocal skills (formal training is an asset but not required) ● Comfortable leading groups of 20–30 people

● Clear communicator with a friendly and upbeat teaching style ● Energetic, engaging, and able to command a room with positivity ● Experience in music instruction, performance, choir leadership, or equivalent ● Reliable and professional

● Passionate about creative wellness and community building
