Position: Teacher

 

Calgary Quest School (CQS) – Calgary Quest School is an accredited Designated Special Education Private School serving students ages 6–19 with disabilities across two campuses.

ROLE OVERVIEW

·         Support students with diverse and complex learning needs

·         Lead and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) with a collaborative team

·         Plan, teach, and assess with professionalism and care

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

·         Bachelor of Education or equivalent

·         Experience with severe disabilities is an asset

This teaching position may be assigned to either campus, depending on needs and scheduling.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This position requires lifting and carrying demands that require the ability to bend at the waist, stoop,

and twist frequently, the ability to lift 50 pounds, the ability to carry, push and pull 50 pounds, and the

ability to stand, walk and sit frequently. This includes walking up to 3 kms to support students with

community outings.

Applicants WHO ARE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT must complete and pass a ‘police security clearance’ and a ‘vulnerable sector check’ before employment is confirmed.
