Hosted by: Calgary Newcomers Guide (CNG)
Time Commitment: 2–4 hours/week (flexible scheduling)
Duration: October–December 2025 (with option to extend)
Purpose of the Role
To support the delivery of financial literacy workshops and resources to newcomers, helping
build confidence in budgeting, saving, and financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
● Assist in setting up and organizing workshop sessions
● Support facilitators during live sessions (e.g., handing out materials, guiding
discussions)
● Help with registration and attendance tracking
● Promote sessions across campus and online
● Provide feedback and suggestions to improve program delivery
● Option to co-lead sessions or develop content (for advanced volunteers)
Skills & Qualifications
● Interest in finance, education, or community service
● Strong communication and organizational skills
● Comfortable working with diverse groups
● No prior financial expertise required training provided!
