Intake Coordinator

Overview

This full-time, permanent position is a great opportunity for resilient, curious professionals passionate about supporting people navigating legal issues/systems. Candidates should have a degree or advanced education in human services or a similar discipline, and 3 or more years experience of trauma-informed, culturally competent approaches to serving lower-income and marginalized peoples. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, with de-escalation training being an asset. Intake coordinators and their colleagues manage a high volume of requests using a well-developed workflow to identify legal issues and corresponding support services. Together, we develop practical knowledge and approaches in many areas of law. While many CLG callers and visitors are in difficult circumstances, CLG is not a crisis centre, and we continually strive to provide a supportive environment for staff and volunteers.
