Position Title: Social Media Community Manager
Supervisor: Communications Coordinator
Location: Remote (Canada)
Duration: Canada Summer Jobs Program (8 weeks)
Position Summary
The Social Media Community Manager will support the Marketing Lead in engaging and growing our online audience through strategic digital initiatives. This role involves creating and designing visually appealing graphics on platforms like Canva and Adobe to raise awareness of our mission and promote upcoming events. The Social Media Community Manager will be responsible for managing the social media content calendar, ensuring timely scheduling and posting across various platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing social media content strategy and launch of our brand on Instagram.
- Create visually appealing and valuable content targeted at the our younger audience.
- Conduct research on social media trends and industry news to develop our strategy further.
- Follow a content calendar, create, and schedule on-brand posts for our LinkedIn account.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Canva, social media calendars, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Creative thinking, able to generate fresh ideas and content.
- Strong understanding of design principles shown through creative work.
- Insight into how to reach younger generations through on-brand social media posts.
- Eye for detail.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs program, including being between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada.
