Overview
Bonavista Evangelical Missionary Church is a community church in Southeast Calgary. We love Jesus and are committed to being a community of worship, belonging, growth, and mission. This position will be involved in planning and implementing Summer programming for kids and youth in addition to the miscellaneous team tasks of a local community church. Summer programming includes, summer day camps, overnight family camp and more.
- 18-$20 per hour; 35-40 hours per week; May-Aug or July-Aug (hours and duration dependent on government grant approval)
- Broad range of experiences and chances to debrief to help in vocational discernment
- Coaching and collaboration with Lead Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Kids Ministry Director
- Weekly one on one conversations with team members to navigate personal growth, learning experiences, and hopes
- Experiences in volunteer leadership
- Exposure to popular Church tools like Church Center app and website, Canva, and social media platforms
- A work place where your ideas, creativity, and initiative will be heard and given chances to experiment and learn
- Plan and assist with implementation, administration, marketing and delivery of weekly children’s programs and summer children’s day camp programs
- Help to deliver special fun and educational events to strengthen families
- Help to plan and assist with events and programs for youth including supporting administrative and marketing needs
- Help to plan and assist with worship services for children, families and persons all ages
- Help to plan and implement major community events
- Assist in managing Plan to Protect Program
- Assist Office Administrator and Ministry Staff in ongoing duties and special projects
