Overview
Hours: 5 Hours per Week, two weeks per month, 10 months a year (Service Prep and Sunday Service)
Reports to: Senior Pastor or designate
Altadore Baptist Church is a small inner-city community church affiliated with the Canadian Association of Baptist Freedoms (CABF). As an affirming congregation, we welcome all people, regardless of race, culture, sexuality, or faith. We are seeking a part-time Music Worship Leader who is deeply committed to Christian values and principles. This individual should possess strong musical vocal skills, have experience leading worship, and demonstrate a sincere heart for guiding others in meaningful, Spirit-led worship.
Responsibilities:
The Music Worship Leader is responsible for guiding and inspiring the congregation through meaningful and engaging musical worship. This role involves fostering a spiritually enriching atmosphere that encourages participation and deep connection through music.
· Lead and inspire the congregation in musical worship, fostering an engaging and meaningful worship experience
· Select and lead music twice monthly for Sunday services
· Collaborate with the pastor and staff to align music selections with the worship service theme, creating a cohesive and spiritually enriching atmosphere
· Facilitate congregational singing and participation, encouraging engagement and connection through worship
· Lead musicians and vocalists in pre-service rehearsals, ensuring preparedness and harmony in musical arrangements
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong musical and vocal proficiency, capable of leading worship with confidence. Solid knowledge of both traditional and contemporary Christian music, ensuring a well-rounded worship experience
· Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, fostering smooth collaboration and leadership
· Upholds confidentiality, professionalism, and inherent discretion in all responsibilities
