Part-Time Christian Education Teacher (Sunday Mornings)

Overview

Hours: 5 Hours per week (Prep and Sunday morning teaching)

Reports to:  Senior Pastor or designate

Altadore Baptist Church is a small inner-city community church affiliated with the Canadian Association of Baptist Freedoms (CABF). As an affirming congregation, we welcome all people, regardless of race, culture, sexuality, or faith.  We are seeking a part-time Christian Education Teacher who is deeply committed to Christian values and principles. This individual should possess strong teaching skills, have experience delivering Christian-based lessons, and demonstrate a sincere heart for nurturing and guiding children in their faith journey.

Skills and Responsibilities:

·       Strong knowledge of biblical teachings and Christian principles

·       Effective communication and storytelling abilities

·       Patience and empathy when working with children and youth

·       Creativity in lesson planning and engaging activities

·       Organizational skills to manage class materials and schedules

·       Ability to foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment

·       Leadership and mentorship qualities to inspire students

·       Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students

·       Upholds confidentiality, professionalism, and inherent discretion in all responsibilities
