About Community Bible Fellowship

Historical and Current Summary of our Church:

Community Bible Fellowship (CBF) began in 1973 by a small group of young believers who saw an evangelistic need in our community.

The first members decided to name the church based on what they felt was their purpose, which was to bring the Bible to the hearts of this community and provide a place of worship. Thus the name "Community Bible Fellowship" was born.

We are presently going through a transitional period following the resignation of our pastor and are currently under leadership of our transitional interim pastor.

As a part of the church ministry beginning in 1980 CBF Christian School Kindergarten to Grade 8 was born.

CBF ministries include: Worship, Discipleship, Hospitality, Missions, Youth, and Children’s Discipleship.

Location and Physical Facilities:

CBF is located on the edge of Swan River which is located in west central Manitoba.
The church/school is equipped with a gymnasium, playground, and playing field.
Swan River is a community with a population of about 4,000 with smaller towns, communities, and reserves within the valley totalling around 8,000 people.
